Plumbing Apprenticeships
Plumbing apprenticeships are available for those seeking a career within the plumbing industry. The apprenticeship covers all aspects of the sector including:
- Pipeworking
- Leadworking
- Bathroom Suite Installation
- Hot and Cold water Systems
- Fault diagnosis
Plumbing apprenticeships are at Level 3 (Advanced) but achievement of Level 2 is required as part of the framework.
TTA offer two delivery patterns:
- Program Led
Trainees without an employer spend 6 months in-centre where they will achieve a level 2 technical certificate followed by 3-6 months in an employer placement where they will achieve the relevant NVQ.
At this stage TTA will work with the trainees to locate a suitable employer where they can progress onto the next level of the apprenticeship.
- Employer Led
Trainees with an employer will attend the training centre on a block-release pattern and will achieve an advanced apprenticeship.
All are subject to an initial assessment of skills and capabilities. Places are offered subject to satisfactory completion of the initial assessment. Candidates will be assessed through the use of examinations, practical and theory assignments. Completion of a portfolio of evidence from assessment within the workplace including on site assessment will be required to complete the NVQ.
