We offer the following plumbing training courses:
Water Regulations and Bylaws
This plumbing training course is aimed at plumbers and associated trades who are involved with the installation, design or specification of water systems or with buildings containing water systems.
This plumbing course will introduce the Water Regulations and provide the training required to prove competence with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.
Upon completion of this plumbing training course the candidate will be:
- Familiar with the contents of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) regulations 1999.
- Understand what the regulations mean and recognise the role of the regulations in preventing waste, misuse, undue consumption, contamination and erroneous measurement of water.
- Know how to comply with the regulations in practice.
- Carry out risk assessments on existing water systems and advise if they meet the Water Regulations.
- Helps to meet the required criteria for the approved list of organisations including local authorities, housing associations, social housing groups and insurance companies.
Domestic Unvented Hot Water
The aim of this plumbing training course is to train candidates in the installation and safety requirements of domestic unvented hot water systems. The candidate will have an understanding of Building Regulation Part G and other associated legislation. Upon completion of the plumbing training the candidate assessed on their ability to:
- Recognise the various forms of hot water supplies.
- State the functional requirements of unvented domestic hot water systems.
- Design an Unvented system to comply with Part G of the Building Regulations.
- Carry out commissioning of an Unvented System State and rectify common causes of faults in an unvented system.
